World Poker Tour comes to Maryland Live

worldpokerWASHINGTON — One of the world’s premier gambling events, the World Poker Tour, will be played later this week at Maryland Live! Casino in Hanover.

The main event of the tournament will unfold at noon on Friday. The hands will be dealt in the casino’s 52-table poker room. The match has a minimum $3,500 buy-in.

The high-profile poker tournament may be one of the best known international gambling events because it’s televised in more than 150 countries.

The casino says the five-day tournament, which is expected to attract players from across the country, will be the first World Poker Tour ever played in Maryland.
