Three U.Md. football players suspended indefinitely

WASHINGTON — The University of Maryland has indefinitely suspended three football players for violating the school’s student-athlete conduct code.

Maryland standout running back Lorenzo Harrison was suspended and so were linebacker Antoine Brooks and receiver DJ Turner.

News of the suspensions came Saturday, ahead of the the Terps’ home game against Ohio.

Harrison, a 5-foot-8 freshman, leads Maryland with five rushing touchdowns. He has run for 664 yards and averages 7.2 yards per attempt.

Turner was a teammate of Harrison’s at DeMatha Catholic High School and has two catches for 19 yards. Brooks has four tackles in four games.
