Man hospitalized after shooting at Germantown 7-Eleven

WASHINGTON — A man is in the hospital after an early morning shooting at a Germantown 7-Eleven.

Shortly before 2:30 a.m. Monday, a man sought help at the Adventist HealthCare Germantown Emergency Center in Maryland. He was suffering gunshot wounds to his torso and approached a security guard outside for help.

He was transported to a local trauma hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Montgomery County police determined that the victim and a separate group of people got into an altercation near the rear of a 7-Eleven at 19786 Crystal Rock Drive. The victim was shot during the incident.

Police were then called to the scene.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting or the suspect(s) involved is urged to contact investigators of the Germantown Investigative Section at 240-773-6237.
