Warrant out for Md. man charged with killing cat, dog

WASHINGTON — Montgomery County police are looking for a man they say killed two of his girlfriends’ pets.

Brandon Crarey, 30, of Glenarden, Maryland, is accused of killing a cat and a dog that belonged to two separate women.

“Back in February, I was involved in case where Crarey was alleged to have killed his then girlfriend’s cat,” said Animal Cruelty Investigator Jack Breckenridge.

A necropsy revealed Crarey killed the animal using blunt force. Breckenridge said and he was charged with felony animal cruelty.

“While he was out on bond for that charge, he had started dating another woman, and he took a puppy from her house, and took him to a barber shop,” Breckenridge said.

Crarey told his girlfriend he left the 10-week-old Irish setter in the hot car where it died, Breckenridge said.

“This case has gotten a lot of my personal attention because I’m concerned for the victims and their welfare or that he’s victimizing additional animals,” said Breckenridge.

Anyone who has information about Crary’s whereabouts can contact police at 1-866-411-8477.
