Germantown man charged with human trafficking, prostitution

WASHINGTON — A man from Germantown has been charged with  running a human trafficking and prostitution business, according to Montgomery County police.

Armand Theinkue Donfack, 35, of the 19900 block of Choctaw Court was charged with two prostitution-related counts and three charges tied to human trafficking. He was released  Tuesday after posting $10,000 bail, according to records filed in Montgomery County District Court.

Police alleged that Donfack, advertised his escort business on French websites, which detectives used to arrange a meeting  with a female escort at a Germantown hotel on July 8.

Donfack showed up with the escort at the hotel, where police said he regularly paid for a room. The escort, who claimed she came to the U.S. to work as an escort, described Donfack as her “boss,” according to police.

The Washington Post reports that Donfack owned the Champions Soccer Academy, a youth soccer league where he also was a coach. NBC Washington reports that the company car was used during the alleged acts, but there was no other connection between the soccer league and the charges filed against  Donfack.
