WASHINGTON — Montgomery County police have identified the victim of a deadly crash as a 61-year-old Rockville resident.
The crash happened along Shady Grove Road in Gaithersburg on Saturday, June 27. According to police, a minivan was headed north on Shady Grove Road when it collided with another vehicle that was crossing from Tupelo Drive.
The driver of the second vehicle, identified as Gerilynne Seigneur, died at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the minivan, 22-year-old Ulices Chavez, was not injured. Police say Chavez was arrested at the scene for suspicion of driving under the influence.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
