“If you get an education, then nobody can define who you are, what you can become,” said NBA Hall of Famer Earvin “Magic” Johnson, speaking at a block party for D.C. Public Schools. At the block party, the District unveiled the school system’s five-year strategic plan aimed at ensuring that every student feels loved, challenged and prepared for the future.
