Man charged with sexually assaulting child at Va. home day care

WASHINGTON — A Sterling, Virginia, man has been charged with sexually assaulting a child at an in-home day care, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, Juan Alejandro Rodriguez, 52, was charged on Aug. 28 with sexual assault and forcible sodomy of a victim under the age of 13. The charges stem from an incident on Aug. 27 at an in-home day care located on Carousel Court.

Deputies say the day care has been operating at the Sterling home since October 2000. Rodriguez was not in charge of children at the day care, but at lived at the home for the last 15 years.

Investigators are working to determine if there are additional victims.
