WASHINGTON — Car sharing is coming to more Metro stations later this spring.

In a statement on Tuesday, Metro announced a partnership with Enterprise CarShare beginning June 1 that will see Enterprise provide service at 125 Metro parking spaces at 45 Metro stations.

The service, in the future, will expand to 190 spaces.

Under the same agreement, Enterprise will add car-share spaces at four new stations: Deanwood, East Falls Church, Forest Glen and Morgan Boulevard.

“I am pleased that we can now offer more car sharing vehicles at more Metrorail station parking facilities,” said Patrick Schmitt, Metro’s director of parking.

Metro has been offering car sharing since 2001.

As part of the deal with Enterprise, the annual fee and application cost of $65 will be waived until July 31.
