WASHINGTON — It seemed like it would never arrive, and now that spring is here, it’s time to celebrate.
This season, there’s no shortage of events that will get you out of the house and into the great outdoors — or, at least into a great pint of beer.
Here are some of the top food, fitness and cultural activities taking place in April and May.
April 14 Considered the “grand finale” of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, the Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival features Japanese performances, food, art and more along Pennsylvania Avenue NW. April 22 VIDA Fitness and the D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation are teaming up to organize an environmentally conscious workout, dubbed “plogging” — part picking up litter, part jogging.
