WASHINGTON — The ride-sharing service Uber is offering to bring flu shots to you on Thursday.
In 35 cities, including D.C. and Baltimore, UberHEALTH will bring a “wellness pack,” including a water bottle, tissues, hand sanitizer, lollipop and recyclable UberHEALTH tote, to an indoor location for $10. That gives the recipient, and nine others of his choosing, the opportunity to get free flu shots from a registered nurse through Passport Health.
To get the pack and shots, open the Uber app between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday and select the UberHEALTH option, then pick your “suitable indoor” location (Uber’s words).
The service has branched out in recent years from simply ferrying people around to bringing puppies and kittens to workplaces and more. This is the second year for the flu-shot program.
