A passenger jet coming from Kansas collided with a military Black Hawk helicopter and crashed into the Potomac River in D.C. while attempting to land at Reagan National Airport on Wednesday night.

The collision between American Airlines Flight 5342 — carrying 60 passengers — and the Sikorsky H-60 — with three Army soldiers onboard — happened around 9 p.m.

D.C.’s fire chief John Donnelly said at a Thursday morning news conference that everyone aboard the plane that collided with Army helicopter is feared dead.
