There were some spooky sights at the White House on Monday that had little to do with policy or D.C.’s politicians — President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden welcomed in trick-or-treaters on the night before Halloween.
A bit of wet weather dampened the “Hallo-READ!” event, which included book giveaways, story readings and, of course, candy.
The first lady read to the group while dressed as her cat, Willow.
Kids from local public schools and military families were invited to the event — which featured candy stamped with the presidential seal.
