Pilk: WTOP staff taste-test Pepsi-milk concoction

Those looking to wash down their holiday cookies this season may have a new option with Pilk — a milk-and-Pepsi combo. And WTOP staffers gave it a try, so you can figure out whether you should incorporate it into your holiday.

Pilk, which PepsiCo assures “pairs perfectly with cookies,” is also known as a “dirty soda,” or a soda spiked with cream and flavored syrups or fruit juices. The concoction has been trending on TikTok and other social media platforms after PepsiCo launched a #PilkandCookies Holiday Challenge — they’re inviting U.S. residents to share a photo or video of their treat on Instagram, Twitter or TikTok with the #PilkandCookies and #Sweepstakes hashtags and the Pepsi account followed.

In their announcement, PepsiCo offers several alternative recipes as well, including the Naughty and Nice mocktail, combining milk, heavy cream and vanilla creamer with Pepsi.

To further publicize the challenge, PepsiCo partnered with Lindsay Lohan, who recently launched her Netflix film “Falling for Christmas,” in which she stars and for which she was the executive producer.

Is it a delightful, sweet treat, or is it just plain gross? See what WTOP staffers thought of the drink in the video below.
