Chef Huda shows us how to make Anthony Bourdain-approved shrimp and grits (Video)

Looking for a healthy comfort food dish to serve up for the holidays? D.C.-based Chef Huda has a quick and easy recipe for you — and it comes approved by Anthony Bourdain.

“To have him say that he loves my shrimp and grits on national television was amazing, I could have died there,” says Chef Huda, owner of culinary company Pretty and Delicious LLC.

The local chef is referring to ABC’s “The Taste” with Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Brian Malarkey and Ludo Lefebvre. She was a contestant on the show’s first season, which aired last year.

But that’s not the only cooking show where her talents have been tested. She made Food Network history last month by winning $23,900, the largest personal prize earnings to date of a contestant, on the cooking show “Cutthroat Kitchen,” hosted by Alton Brown.
