Police release sketches of 2 suspects in Fairfax Co. abduction, assault

WASHINGTON — Police have released sketches of two suspects wanted in a Fairfax County abduction and sexual assault last month.

On Tuesday, police released sketches of two men who they believe abducted and sexually assaulted a 50-year-old woman in the 5800 block of Columbia Pike in Falls Church some time between 11 p.m. Oct. 22 and 2 a.m. Oct. 23.

Police say the woman went a restaurant near the popular Crossroads Center Shopping Center and left with the two suspects in a minivan similar to an older Honda Odyssey and drove toward Arlington. While in the van, the two men sexually assaulted the woman and a handgun was displayed, according to police.

The suspects stole the woman’s phone and forced her out of the vehicle somewhere along Route 50 near South Manchester Street.

The suspects are both described as Hispanic. One was about 30 years old, around 5 feet, 5 inches tall and had a slim build. The other suspect was in his early 20s, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and had an athletic build.

Anyone with information about the case or knows anyone who matches the description can call contact Crime Solvers by phone at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477.
