Former Fairfax police spokesman sentenced for child porn

WASHINGTON — A former spokesman for the Fairfax County Police Department was sentenced to six months in prison for possession of child pornography, NBC Washington reported Friday.

William “Bud” Walker was fired in April 2015 as a result of an investigation that tracked the server of an account depicting child pornography to his address in Fairfax.

Walker has been out on a $15,000 bond since April 2015, NBC Washington reported. He pleaded guilty to 10 counts of child pornography on May 23, 2016.

Walker will also have two years of supervised probation after his prison sentence, and he must register as a sex offender, NBC Washington reported.
