WASHINGTON — Justin Timberlake is bringing sexy back to the Super Bowl on Sunday.
The gig marks his return after his “wardrobe malfunction” with Janet Jackson in 2004.
While that moment was infamous, we also occasionally get a performance for the ages.
From Prince to Bruno Mars, which is the greatest Super Bowl halftime performance?

10. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (2008)
One of my pet peeves of Super Bowl halftime shows is the clutter of supporting acts that often take away from the headliner. So it was refreshing to see Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers hit the stage by themselves — as it should be.
“American Girl” was practically written to be played on Super Bowl Sunday, kicking off a superb set list of “I Won’t Back Down,” “Free Fallin'” and “Running Down a Dream.” Now that Petty has passed away, it should make fans realize that they took his Super Bowl for granted.
