Video: Trailer drops for Spielberg’s ‘The Post’ with Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep

WASHINGTON — It’s easily one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

On Wednesday morning, the trailer finally dropped for Steven Spielberg’s drama “The Post.”

The film marks the very first on-screen pairing of Oscar winners Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep.

They respectively play Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee and publisher Katharine Graham, who led the newspaper through the 1971 publication of The Pentagon Papers, exposing the United States’ political and military involvement in Vietnam from 1945 to 1967.

The script is co-written by debut writer Liz Hannah and Oscar winner Josh Singer (“Spotlight”).

The film hits select theaters on Dec. 22 and nationwide Jan. 12.
