WASHINGTON — Rosie O’Donnell is leaving “The View” for a second time, NBC News reports.
The contentious co-host of the ABC daytime talk show is exiting next week to focus on her five children after the breakup of her marriage to her wife of three years, according to her publicist. The 52-year-old O’Donnell and Michelle Rounds split in November 2014.
O’Donnell had just returned to “The View” last summer. Her initial yearlong stay ended on a sour note in 2007.
Moderator Whoopi Goldberg and Nicolle Wallace remain with Perez on the show, which was created by Barbara Walters in 1997.
