Police: DC sex assault suspect caught on surveillance video

WASHINGTON — D.C. police are seeking to identify a man caught on surveillance video after authorities say he sexually assaulted a woman Sunday in Northwest D.C.

According to police, the man — who attempted to cover his face as he approached security cameras — approached a woman in the 2400 block of I St. NW shortly before 11 p.m. and attacked her while attempting to remove her clothing.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25-35 years in age, approximately 5 feet 10 inches in height and has brown hair.
