WASHINGTON — A teenager is dead after a shooting in Southeast D.C., Wednesday afternoon.
The victim, who’s been identified as 17-year-old Damoni Gaither of Southeast D.C., was found with gunshot wounds in the 300 block of Anacostia Road Southeast, police said.
Officers responded to the scene shortly after 3 p.m. after hearing the sounds of gunshots. Gaither was pronounced dead at the scene.
D.C. police are also investigating another shooting that happened in a separate location Wednesday afternoon in Southeast D.C.
Two men were found with gunshot wounds in the 3500 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast.
They were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police have not said if the shootings are connected.
