WASHINGTON — A naked man riding a Red Line train between Gallery Place Chinatown and Dupont Circle was taken into custody after he assaulted two Metro riders Thursday morning.

Metro Transit Police responded to Dupont Circle Station near the 19th Street exit around 5:45 a.m. for a report of a disorderly naked man who was acting aggressively toward customers.

Police tried to take him into custody but he did not comply, even after several warnings, Metro police said.

The man was shocked with a Taser stun gun and taken into custody.

The two victims had minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
