Police: Woman sexually assaulted near Nationals Park

WASHINGTON — A woman walking in Southwest D.C. near Nationals Park early Monday morning was sexually assaulted, D.C. police said.

The woman was walking near the Department of Motor Vehicles building at 95 M St. SW between 12:30 a.m. and 1:45 a.m. Monday when a man approached the woman from behind, pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her, according to the police report.

The man fled the scene on foot, police said.
