Southeast man charged as police investigate a DC woman’s death

WASHINGTON — A Southeast man was arrested and charged in connection to the fatal Saturday morning shooting of a Southeast woman, D.C. police say.

In a statement, D.C. police said that 40-year-old Ronald Randolph Jr. is being charged with first degree murder while armed.

Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 2200 block of Savannah Terrace at approximately 8:20 a.m.

Shameka Delephine Jones, 32, was found with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene.
