DC police seek help finding 2 ‘critically missing’ people

WASHINGTON — D.C. police has asked for the public’s help in finding a “critically missing” 16-year-old girl.

Police said Simone Stringfellow was reported missing on Friday.

Stringfellow was described as a black girl, with a medium complexion, brown eyes and red hair. She is 5-feet 3-inches tall and weighs around 120 pounds.

She was last seen Thursday in the 1800 block of A Street Southeast and was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans at the time.

Police on Saturday also said they were looking for a 23-year-old man who was reported missing on Friday. There was no indication from police that this case is related to Stringfellow’s.

In a news release Saturday, police said Deandre Shuford was last seen Thursday in the 5600 block of Third Street Northeast.

Police described him as a black man with a medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair. Police said he is 5-feet five-inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, white shirt, dark jeans, and black shoes at the time he was last seen.
