WASHINGTON — A teenage girl was taken to a hospital after being shot at an entrance to the Anacostia Metro station on Sunday night.

The girl approached a Metro worker at about 7:40 p.m. with a gunshot wound in her leg, NBC Washington reports.

The entrance of the station from the bus bay area has been closed off for investigation. Rail and bus services have not been affected.

No description of the suspect has been released. NBC Washington also reports that police had detained someone who was around the corner from the station, but it is still unclear whether the person is connected to the shooting. No arrests have been made.
