WASHINGTON — Three people were hurt Sunday in a crash near Nationals Park in Southeast Washington.
D.C. police say the crash happened around 4:30 p.m. along South Capitol Street.
One person was ejected from his vehicle, and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say a woman and a child in a second vehicle were also taken to the hospital; their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
The circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation.
NBC Washington reports the crash may have been the result of a police pursuit.
Part of the Douglass Bridge was closed overnight for the crash the investigation, but both directions reopened before 3 a.m.
