Police: Man ID’d in Northeast homicide

WASHINGTON — The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred in Northeast D.C. Tuesday. 

Police responded to a report at the 2700 block of 17th Street in Northeast Tuesday around 4:45 p.m. When officers arrived, they found an adult male, identified as 24-year-old William Conley, suffering from gunshot wounds, with no signs of life.

The victim was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy, police say.
