1 dead after fire rips through Charles County mobile home

WASHINGTON — A man is dead after flames engulfed a Charles County, Maryland mobile home Wednesday morning.

Firefighters responded around 5:40 a.m. to a 10-foot-by-50 foot mobile home on a farm in Bryans Road.

The victim was found just inside the front door, Charles County Fire and EMS spokesperson Bill Smith said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
