WASHINGTON – The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Waldorf that left a 19-year-old dead, and another person wounded.
Officers were called to the 2500 block of Gittings Court, off St. Charles Parkway, around 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. There, officers found two men who had been shot.
One of the victims, a 19-year-old, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The second victim, a 21-year-old, was treated for an injury that was not life-threatening.
Deputies are investigating whether an altercation happened just before the shooting, and believe a suspect may have fled in a car.
