Korean restaurant Seoulspice will open its seventh D.C.-area restaurant on June 20 in D.C.’s Navy Yard, complete with owner Eric Shin’s family recipes for Korean comfort food, including his version of a burrito called the “Korrito.”
The Navy Yard location, located at 1251 First Street in Southeast D.C., is the largest Seoulspice restaurant Shin has opened at 2,400 square feet and seating for more than 90 people. It’s between Chipotle Mexican Grill and RASA.
The Navy Yard location features a mural by Peter Chang, co-founder of D.C. events production company and creative agency No Kings Collective.
Chang created a mural for the first Seoulspice location, which opened seven years ago.
Seoulspice’s menu includes rice bowls, noodle bowls and salads, with a build-your-own ordering system which includes choosing a base, protein, vegetables, sauces and toppings. All menu items are gluten-free, and priced between $6 and $13.
Shin opened the first Seoulspice in D.C.’s NoMa neighborhood in 2016. There are other locations now in Tenleytown, College Park, Westfield Mall, and most recently in Rosslyn, its first Northern Virginia location.
