Cook like Martha tonight: Meal kits now on AmazonFresh for DC

WASHINGTON — Amazon Prime members in Washington can now get same day delivery of one of Martha Stewart’s meal kits, and without the meal kit subscription commitment.

Washington is the latest metro AmazonFresh has added to the partnership with Stewart’s Martha & Marley Spoon meal kit business.

It’s also currently available in New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Boston and Dallas.

Unlike other subscription services, with the Martha & Marley Spoon business, a subscriber does not have to commit to multiple meals and wait. Subscribers order two, three or four meals at a time, a week ahead.

Through AmazonFresh, Prime members can order just one meal and, depending on time of day the order is placed, have the kit delivered the same day or next day.

The pricing is similar. One meal for two is $24 through AmazonFresh, the same price as the subscription service, though subscribers pay less per meal the more they order at a time.

“I am pleased to collaborate with the most innovative retailer, Amazon, to bring better weeknight cooking solutions to all customers,” said Martha Stewart in a statement.

“It is so important to cook wholesome, delicious, healthy dinners, and I believe people will enjoy the nutritious and seasonal recipes offered by Martha & Marley Spoon, coupled with the flexibility and convenience of AmazonFresh.”
