WASHINGTON — Virginia State Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a suspect who shot at a Hyundai Sonata Thursday on northbound Interstate 395.
The driver of the Hyundai was not injured.
The shooting occurred around 8 p.m., in the northbound main lines just before the HOV entrance in Arlington County, Virginia.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a white Toyota Corolla and a gray Hyundai Sonata stopped on the right shoulder of the 9 mile marker. The cars had been traveling together when the shooting happened.
The Hyundai had a hole in the driver’s side window, as well as the passenger’s side window.
Police said it was confirmed that the holes were the result of a bullet entering on the driver’s side and exiting through the passenger’s window.
The drivers of the Hyundai and Toyota could not provide a license plate number or description of the suspect’s car.
Arlington County police and Pentagon police are helping with the investigation.
