WASHINGTON — One person is in critical condition in a burn unit after flames blazed through a home in Arlington on Wednesday morning.

The fire occurred on the 500 block of North Ivy Street. Three people were in the home when it caught fire around 1 a.m.

Two people escaped uninjured but the third was rescued from an upstairs window. He remains in the hospital in critical condition.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
