Bomb threat situation in Arlington resolved

WASHINGTON — The building that houses the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office was evacuated on Saturday night due to a bomb threat which has now been resolved.

Arlington County Police have confirmed that the bomb squad found no evidence of a bomb and the scene has been cleared.

The building is on North Courthouse Road at 14th Street.

According to NBC 4, the incident started around 6:30 p.m., when Arlington EMS received an automated call referring to a bomb threat.

The building was evacuated after a police dog detected something during a search. People were asked to avoid the area until the situation was resolved.
