WASHINGTON — You’ll pay a little bit more to take a taxi in Arlington County as of Jan. 1, and there’s a new fee you should know about.
The initial charge to use a cab has gone up a quarter — from $2.75 to $3.
Also, the price per mile has increased a few cents from $2.10 to $2.16.
Plus, a new fee has been added for taxis that have to be taken out of service for cleaning. In that case, the passenger responsible for making the mess will be charged $25.
The last taxicab fare hike in Arlington County was in 2012.
