Police search for man charged in stabbing of woman at Md. hotel

WASHINGTON — Anne Arundel County police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man they say is charged with stabbing a woman multiple times at a hotel in Laurel, Maryland.

Officers responded to the Red Crown Inn, located at 3440 Laurel Fort Meade Road, on Wednesday and found a 25-year-old woman that had been stabbed multiple times. She was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigation revealed that the victim was attacked by Dave Benissan-C, who police say was known to the victim.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Benissan-C, charging him with first- and second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

The woman is currently listen in stable condition.

Police say Benissan-C is known to frequent the hotels in the Laurel area. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is urged to call 911.
