Charges against 2nd suspect in shooting of officer

WASHINGTON — A second suspect is now charged in connection with the shooting of an Anne Arundel County Police officer who remains in serious condition.

Police say Danielle Nicole Blake, 29, of Severn, Maryland has been charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first- and second-degree assault, as well as two gun-related charges, in the shooting of Cpl. Larry Adams.

Adams was shot early Friday near a 7-Eleven in the Arnold area after approaching a man who was reportedly acting suspiciously.

On Friday, Colvin Lamar White was arrested and charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, among other charges in the case. White was being held without bond.

Police said Sunday that he has been upgraded from critical to serious condition at Baltimore’s Shock Trauma Center.

Police will hold a news conference Monday afternoon, to provide additional information.
