100 Puerto Rico pets arrive for fostering, adoption

WASHINGTON — One hundred animals from hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico arrived in the D.C. area, and they are looking for homes and forever families.

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue flew the animals Saturday and they arrived in the area on the same day.

There will be an adoption event from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, at the PetSmart in Gaithersburg, Maryland (218 Kentlands Blvd.).
