VRE to run regular train service

WASHINGTON — VRE will run regular commuter train service during Pope Francis’ 48-hour visit to D.C.

However VRE urges riders to give themselves extra time, expect crowded stations and to use the mobile app to buy and validate tickets.

Because of congestion at stations and extra security, trains could experience delays especially as they approach the District.

To learn more about mobile ticket purchasing visit www.VRE.org/mobile.

In Maryland, MARC trains are also expected to run on a regular schedule.

OmniRide buses, out of Prince William County, will run altered routes for Wednesday and Thursday and MTA has also announced changes to its commuter bus service.
