The ‘Skins will be asking “what if” all week … they caught the Pats playing their ‘C’ game, and answered with … their ‘C’ game. But hey, this was to be expected. It’s New England. They win at everything. (Photo by Jim Rogash/Getty Images)
Carolina Panthers' Cam Newton (1) reaches the ball over the goal line for a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers in the first half of an NFL football game in Charlotte, N.C., Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015. (AP Photo/Bob Leverone)
Packers 29 Panthers 37 If you’re still doubting Carolina, I can’t help you. The Panthers just dispatched their biggest competition in the conference, Cam Newton is emphatically protecting his house, and Superman is the cinch pick for MVP at midseason (more on that Tuesday). So stop freaking out, Green Bay. It took facing undefeated teams on the road in back-to-back games for them to lose consecutively for the first time in five years. The Packers still have a shot at homefield if they win out. No pressure. (AP Photo/Bob Leverone)
NEW ORLEANS, LA - NOVEMBER 8: Antonio Andrews #26 of the Tennessee Titans runs the ball and is hit by David Hawthorne #57 of the New Orleans Saints at Mercedes-Benz Superdome on November 8, 2015 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Titans 34 Saints 28 (OT) That putrid New Orleans D has allowed 10 TDs and 83 points in the last two weeks, including 4 TDs to a rookie on a 6-game losing streak. I’d blow up in the locker room too. (Photo by Wesley Hitt/Getty Images)
ORCHARD PARK, NY - NOVEMBER 08: Nickell Robey #37 of the Buffalo Bills breaks up a reception meant for Jarvis Landry #14 of the Miami Dolphins during the first half at Ralph Wilson Stadium on November 8, 2015 in Orchard Park, New York. (Photo by Rich Barnes/Getty Images)
Dolphins 17 Bills 33 The Dan Campbell Era has begun with four blowouts, with Miami on the wrong end of the last two. Perhaps the Dolphins should stop beating each other up and get back to doling out punishment to the opponent … (Photo by Rich Barnes/Getty Images)
MINNEAPOLIS, MN - NOVEMBER 8: Teddy Bridgewater #5 of the Minnesota Vikings slides after a scramble against Lamarcus Joyner #20 of the St. Louis Rams during the fourth quarter of the game on November 8, 2015 at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Rams 18 Vikings 21 (OT) The real Adrian Peterson outplayed the new Adrian Peterson, but that was overshadowed by a wicked hit and some postgame beef between two coaches. I sincerely hope these two teams meet again in the playoffs. (Photo by Hannah Foslien/Getty Images)

Pittsburgh’s record-setting day came a high cost: Ben Roethlisberger is again out for “a few weeks” with a foot injury. I suspect this won’t fare well for Antwon Blake’s prediction but at least Antonio Brown has proved he’ll ball out no matter who plays QB. (AP Photo/Gene J. Puskar)

Short a few fingers, Jason Pierre-Paul is finally back with the Giants wearing, um, a new glove. Meanwhile, Odell Beckham Jr. ditched the gloves. Even when the Giants win easy they still intrigue. (AP Photo/Brian Blanco)
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Blaine Gabbert (2) spikes the ball after running to the 1-yard line against the Atlanta Falcons during the first half of an NFL football game in Santa Clara, Calif., Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015. The 49ers won 17-16. (AP Photo/Marcio Jose Sanchez)
Falcons 16 49ers 17 Atlanta is entering their bye week, and given the way their last five games have played out, boy do they need it: The Dirty Birds almost lost to the Redskins, lost to the then-struggling Saints, barely beat the awful Titans, lost to the still-awful Bucs, and then lose to Blaine Gabbert. Blaine Gabbert. You know, the guy who lost 10 straight starts and hadn’t won a game as a starter since 2012? Either the Falcons are frauds or Gabbert’s change of scenery really has done him good. Eagles 33 Cowboys 27 (OT) Hey Philly! Of course the Cowboys are crybabies. You’d cry too if you were on a 6-game losing skid and had to start Matt Cassel at quarterback! (AP Photo/Michael Ainsworth)

Cincinnati’s 8-0 start is their best-ever and also ties the longest winning streak in team history. Andy Dalton is settling all family business and it’s time to recognize the Bengals as the league’s best outside of New England. (Photo by Andrew Weber/Getty Images)
