Student stabbed at Montgomery Co. high school

WASHINGTON – One student stabbed another student at a Montgomery County high school Monday afternoon, police say.

The stabbing involved three students at Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, Maryland, at about noon, and the weapons used in the attack were a pair of scissors and a tool used to sculpt clay, said Montgomery County Police spokeswoman Lucille Bower.

The students involved were two 17-year-olds and one 15-year-old. The 15-year-old was named as the suspect, Bower said.

The victim has non life-threatening injuries and was not transported to the hospital.

Officials have not released any additional details about the incident.
