PHOTOS: Crowds line DC streets on 9th day of protests

For the ninth consecutive day, demonstrators took to the streets of the nation’s capital to protest the killing of George Floyd and other African Americans who have been killed in violent conflicts with police.

The size of protests waned through the week, but D.C. police chief Peter Newsham said he had expected Saturday’s to be the biggest yet, and possibly one of the largest the city has ever seen.
