WASHINGTON — There’s good news for food fans who have been unable to shovel out and shovel down some specialty-priced three-course meals: Restaurant Week has been extended.
The biannual week, which offers $22 lunches and $35 dinners at more than 250 area restaurants, will now run through Wednesday, Feb. 3.
Winter Restaurant Week began on Monday, Jan. 25 — just two days after the historic blizzard blanketed the D.C. area in snow and ice — and was scheduled to conclude on Sunday, Jan. 31.
According to The Washington City Paper, the week got off to a slow start for many restaurants due to delayed deliveries and canceled reservations.
The extension gives both diners and businesses a chance to make up the missed time.
But before you book your reservations, make sure you check The Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington’s website: Not all restaurants are participating in the extension.
