Iranian military issues cyber warning

TEHRAN - Head of the Cyber Organization of Iran's Armed Forces General Hossein Baqeri ia warning the Iranian government that that the US, Britain and Israel have shifted their battlefield and strategy from land to cyber warfare. He's urging Iranian officials to provide better cyber so that the country's information and intelligence will not be collected by the protect the country's information.

RIYADH - Recently I reported that sources believe Saudi Arabia would try to acquire nuclear weapons to match the nuclear threat from Iran. Today Arab New Online in English is reporting "Saudi Arabia signed an agreement with China in Riyadh Sunday for cooperation in the development and use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes, which will help to meet the Kingdom's rising demand for energy and cut its growing dependence on depleting resources." But sources tell me the definition of "peaceful purposes" is debatable.

WASHINGTON - The White House will be holding a key security meeting today with senior state and local law enforcement. They'll be discussing ways to fight violent extremism and homegrown terrorism. Federal counterterrorism officials will present analyses of homegrown extremist cases to help local police department's detect people who are plotting attack.

NORTH WAZIRISTAN - Learning more about the alleged death of Pakistani Taliban leader Hamikmullah Mehsud. Pakistani officials say they intercepted wireless radio chatter between Taliban fighters detailing how Hakimullah Mehsud was killed while travelling in a convoy to a meeting in the North Waziristan tribal region near the Afghan border.
