WASHINGTON — Do you remember when the Washington Redskins were a good team? Not the one magical season they had in 2012. We’re talking Super Bowls, Joe Gibbs and the Fun Bunch.

All that happened under previous owner Jack Kent Cooke, who died in 1997. Daniel Snyder purchased the Redskins in 1999, and well, the winning hasn’t been so frequent.

On Thursday, Sports Illustrated named Snyder the most hated owner in the NFL. They named the New England Patriots the NFL’s most hated team and Bill Belichick the league’s most hated coach. Oh, and Eagles’ fans? You’re the most hated by SI’s standards (why would you throw snowballs at Santa Claus?)

SI’s rationale for Snyder: “It starts with little things like Snyder charging [fans] money to attend training camp,” wrote Chris Burke.

Then there’s this.

“He’s been unable to produce a winner.”

As the story also points out, Snyder is fighting an entire race so his franchise can be called the Redskins. In 2011, he filed suit against the Washington City Paper after writer Dave McKenna said mean things about him.  And while Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones held the “hated” title for a while, he’s made moves to make his team better.

The Cowboys went 12-4 en route to the Divisional Playoffs last year.

The Redskins? 4-12. Hail … victory?
