WASHINGTON — The Washington Redskins may be heading into a bye week, but quarterback Kirk Cousins is working hard in his role as a new dad.
Cousins posted a photo on Instagram Tuesday evening with his newborn son, Cooper. Cousins and his wife, Julie welcomed their first child Friday night — 11 days after the due date.
Cousins posted a photo holding Cooper, with the caption, “Bye Week 2017 #paternityleave.”
Cousins has some extra time to spend with his son — the Redskins have a bye week and play the San Francisco 49ers at home on Oct. 15.
