Report: Redskins’ Culliver out for season

WASHINGTON — The Redskins have lost defensive back Chris Culliver for the season to a knee injury he suffered in a Thanksgiving Day practice, various media sources are reporting.

Culliver left the locker room on crutches and with a full brace on his right leg Thursday. Coach Jay Gruden says Culliver “tweaked” his knee after jumping for a ball and landing on it.

NFL.com says that Culliver tore his ACL and MCL. He signed a four-year, $32 million contract in March of this year.

Culliver missed three games earlier this season after injuring his left knee in practice. He missed the entire 2013 season in San Francisco after tearing his left ACL in training camp.
