Capitals players roll out their costumes a week early

WASHINGTON– With a road game in Florida next Saturday, the Washington Capitals decided to celebrate Halloween a week early.

Captain Alex Ovechkin, along with a few of his teammates, shared pictures on social media Saturday of their Halloween costumes.

 

Ovechkin dressed up as Batman, Evgeny Kuznetsov went as Harry Potter, while defenseman Dmitry Orlov wore a Bugs Bunny costume.

Roommates Tom Wilson and Michael Latta win major creativity points for their joint costume. The Caps players came dressed as cast members from the movie Castaway.

The Capitals are on a five-game winning streak and sit atop the Metroplitan Division with a 6-1-0 record. The Capitals return to Verizon Center Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
